RF Lesioning question
I've had RF on my left side lower back for pain 4 times now. The last was a week ago today. The trouble this time is for the last 5 days I've felt like I had a fever and then a couple of days ago muscle spasms in my back. Went to the pain center yesterday(Monday) just to have it checked. No fever and gave me some meds for the spasms. He said since they are messing with nerves when they do this RF this could all be just from that, and to keep and close eye on it for infection. My questions is has anybody else had this fever feeling and will it go away or could it be here to stay? Most of the time I just feel like I have a fever but I check and never do. Several times I get to feeling real warm and start sweating just like I would if I did have a fever. Hope it goes away but if not I quess it will just added to the pain I'm going to have to live with the rest of my life.

RE: RF Lesioning question
blood work to look for evidence of infection is often done and is an early indicator os a problem. An infection if present can be devastating as it can involve the spine tissues themselves. Better to be safe than sorry eh ?

RE: RF Lesioning question
I did see the doc on Monday and he didn't see any signs of an infection but did no blood tests. Will have to wait and see how it goes

RE: RF Lesioning question
Just to let you know that two weeks ago my granddaughter had 104 fever and last week my grandson had 102.3 fever and my daughter took my granddaughter to the ER to have her checked for the swine flu to be safe and she ended up with a virus.

The week before my granddaughter was sick I ended up feeling awful and never checked to see if I had a fever or not but bet I had the same thing going on. Only I lost my voice for a day or two which I never had happen before. If you are not to sure what is going on, it is best to be checked out in a outpatient setting or make a dr. appointment. It hopefully is just a virus and will pass.

RE: RF Lesioning question
I would like to know if anybody has had RF and still have any added problems afterwards. Like I said this is the 4th time I've had it but the first time with these problems. Looks like I might be doing these for awhile. Unless maybe one of them works for longer then 9 months or so.
