On an EMG & NCV findings, what does it means ; !)prolonged distal onset latency and decreased conduction velocity.and reduced amplitude. 2) Left vs. Right side comparison data for the ulnar motor nerve indicates abnormal L-R amp. difference (77.8%) and abnormal L-R velocity difference (B Elbow - Wrist, 15m/s). The median sensory nerve indicates abnormal L-R latency difference (13.5ms). The ulnar sensory nerve indicates abnormal L-R latency difference (1.3ms) and abnormal L-R amp. difference (82.4%). All remaining left vs. right side difference were within normal limits. 3) F wave studies. Impression: Peripheral polyneuropathy - upper and lower extremities. This report was signed by an Dr. with an D.O. initial behind his name. Could anyone answer this for me? B.B.B ?

It means that there is an underlying disease process that is causing nerve damage on the left side and polyneuropathy is a term used when more than one nerve is involved.

Izell, basicly saying you have problems with the two nerves. But, you also had a MRI of cervical and Thoriac area a year ago. C3-C4 , C4-C5, C5-C6 at one time. What ever had come about with that? For it does possibly mean your nerve problems could be coming from the Cervical Spine area. As EMG's / NCV's are a test, it doesn't always mean the proble is in the arm or wrist.

Hello and Good Morning. You are good B.B.B. It has been a yr. since MRI of cervical and Thoric. Nothing, I mean Noothinng, has been done. No PT. , No PM. , only saw COP, for an 15min. eval. none of her recomm. treatment has been auth. They try to put me to work in pain and uncertainty about my condition. On 9-08. ,couldn't do it. No check or treatment since. IME ordered, no report yet from IME to W/C judge. I am suppose to hear from my lawyer today. Was told that an tele-conference between judge, i/c lawyer, and mine. is suppose to be happening. Hope judge decide to work in my favor. It is really a shame that truly injured people lives are put in jeopady because of things like this. My injury has manifested itself into something that is more complex now than before. I just believe that GOD has something good instore for me. I just believe. Thanks for being there. I keep havin' a taste for some real potence diesel.
