RE: What type of material is SCS encased in?
chris go to your local ER.....walk in and and start singing and ripping your clothes off then start crying and laughing and offering to bite peoples toes off they will get you the help you need really fast....I will join you there real soon...

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

chrischris Wrote:Thanks CRPS girl. It's not an easy road to travel and unfortunately unless you've walked in someone else's shoes, it's very hard to truly understand what that person is going thru. I've learned thru all this never to judge another person.

Keep me posted on your journey, and I will do the same.

Tomorrow I go for regular 6-wk follow up with WC doc. He has been sent a letter from my Pain Management Doctor stating that my RSD treatment is on hold untill we get my depression under control. I'm so looking forward to this visit! Ugh!!!! He doesn't recognize my depression so therefore won't help getting it under control. I have a feeling he and my NCM will put me at P&S because of this. Maybe that will be a good thing so I can get out of WC. I just don't care about my claim anymore.

I've already taken steps to help myself with medication change.

Take care of yourself.

It happened in this order:
1)Bilateral Carpal Tunnel
2)Ulnar neuopathy
3)Complex Regional Pain Syndrom right upper extremity
4)Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.

RE: What type of material is SCS encased in?
chrischris one question. Did you have prior depression or did you ever see a doctor for any mental illness? If not then let me go on with my bad self LOL. Does your life seem useless and have you lost interest in the things you care about? Do you fail to get dressed each day? Do you fail to bathe regularly? Do you have trouble taking care of yourself ie: wiping your arse? Sorry for the straight forward approach but these are the things I was going through and had to talk about. Do you have trouble with making love ie: desire gone or just can't because of pain and/or side effects of meds etc? You will have to answer questions that go through everything in your life from at home as a youngster to where you are now. You will be asked if you ever went to jail, drug problems etc. TELL THE TRUTH WHATEVER MAY BE. Then after you spill your guts you will for surely say: I may have been through a few tough times in my life BUT MY INJURY AND WHAT I HAVE BEEN PUT THROUGH THESE PAST YEARS ETC HAVE BEEN THE WORST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ME!!! Saying that you have always been able to bounce back from whatever life threw at you- not now. You have no control over what medical care you need or when you need it. You have lost trust in the "system" and you hate life. You don't want to live anymore but are not suicidal. You have "unhealthy thoughts". I told my PHD consult all the above things and he was the one that referred me to a psychiatrist. If you have had some past issues with mental illness not related to your case then they are going to play with you for awhile I am sure.

Gotta love jayne's little comment she cracked me up! I had thought about going to ER but "thank God my husband was there to consult me and keep me from harm" I really hate to hear what your doctor is putting you through.

Do you have an attorney? Becasue you can quit your doctor and have another if you want. I did that in the very beginning with the occupational medicine doctor. He did not want to deal with me and I fired him. My attorney took over at that time and found me the hand specialist who he works with and respects and woolah. I hope to God that WC is not going to screw with me and keep me in the shrinks care for another stall tactic. I do know that the psych doc I will see in Aug also has worked with my attorney. God is it "who you know and who you b..." sorry I am getting carried away.

It happened in this order:
1)Bilateral Carpal Tunnel
2)Ulnar neuopathy
3)Complex Regional Pain Syndrom right upper extremity
4)Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.

RE: What type of material is SCS encased in?
Jayne, You are so funny. Now if I did that, I would really be crazy.

Went to WC doc appt. this morning and was told, Oh, your doctor called in this morning. No one called me!!! Well, I rescheduled for Thursday. It was ok because I did have two other appts. today.

CRPS girl: To answer your questions, No, never before. Yes, I do have an attorney. Yes, I know what a psyche eval involves since I have had two since claim submitted: 1 by QME and 1 by AME. Both, plus PTP reported 100% industrial caused; yet my claim is still being denied. I am numb to this now and can't think about it any longer. It only makes me even more depressed.

Maybe this sounds stupid, but I'm not a doctor hopper. I've had two PTP's drop me (LOL!) but I've always tried to work it out. And I will with this one too. I really like the doctor I have. If my attorney tells me to change I will, but he hasn't.

Let Go, and Let God......
