Had a little battle with N.C.M.
Had an appointment to day with my local injury DR. Note not my family DR nor my PM DR, I have so many all at once gets me confused. I will update later but this first, had visit with dr then as we always do ncm comes in and DR fills her in. Well to my surprise she had me down for 6 no shows and asked me if pt is working and why I have not been there.
Now my DR is confused and asked me why I have not been there. Now my DR and my PT share the same small but roomy building. I can only do Tues/Thurs, I can account for 2 missed days and I explained I had the flu and then my son had it. She says I'm non compliant, well isnt that dandy and I let her have both barrels at once.

I told her this.
1. They had me scheduled for Mon,--I work all day Mon.
2. Unless you want to my DR to take me off work I can only do tues/thurs afternoons.
3. The last 3 dates they had me missing 1 was work related and the the last 2 was geez I had appointments at the pm dr, Remember you were there.
4. I dont schedule my pt appointments when I cant be there so therefore if they do it for me without my knowledge its out of my hands.
I know this is long but please bare with me.......

Well durring this argument my poor DR is sitting there with a grin from ear to ear. And says Mike you are completely right and goes on telling NCM that he is leaving the establishment to work at aspirus due to partner and stuff I wont mention. Just says they have had new software and appointments have been screwed up.

So still not believing me she walks up with me to appointment desk while I set up pt appoinments and she starts bashing the lady at the desk. Well long behold what walks through the door---My aunt in which we dont really talk to, same name as my wifes same last name and live off the same rd. And the lady behind the counter comes out and says her name since she was next. I just looked at her and said theres your proof, now swallow it B-t-h. And I walked out the door..

Now I have always got along with her never really had her more less say I was lying. And it pissed me off and the only reason I can think of is this forum and how judgemental some have been to me.

Well this is time when I must say-----Thanks-- cause there must have been a reason I needed the strength to tell her off...................And I loved every minuite of it it was like a relief of presure. Now to wait and see what happens next......

God I love this forum and the people here.....And if you have noticed my name is Mike............Thanks again.

If you don't stand up for yourself , no one else is going to.......WTG.....
This is what I was told by my dad way back when growing up, and I have found it to be true. Believe in yourself and stick to your opinions, Don't let anyone else influence how you think........

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.
It's about learning to dance in the rain.

Great Work Bronco!! There is only So Much any One Person can Take, and when it's Time for the Flood Gates to Open, they Open, and You gave it to the Person that was Causing the Problem!!! My 2nd. NCM was the 2nd. Reason I Hired Counsel, and when I Told My Attorney what was going on, He made Her Life such a Miserable He** Hole that I haven't had an NCM for almost 3 Years Now!! The First Reason was the Surgeon not Admitting Fault and the Growth of the Scar Tissue that has Disabled Me!! Good Luck, I Hope You if nothing else Taught Her that when You've had Enough, You've had Enough!!!Smile

Failed Back Surgery, Chronic Pain, Totally Disabled.

Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!!

And some people wonder why we think so little of nurse case managers.

One thing I learned years ago if I don't advocate for myself no one else will.
Well, my attorney will but he gets paid well for it, laughing!

I love reading about a good fight!

RE: Had a little battle with N.C.M.
You know it just burned me, now tomorow I have an appointment 40 miles away for PM and they probably have me down for pt. I am not magic and cant be at both. This is why I told them I will set up appointments when I'm available, they were not even asking me they just set me up anytime and they knew as well as the NCM when I'm able. If they think I should not work untill I'm better then take me out and start paying me ttd again. Is it that hard or is it me I dont know but I'm peod and venting away.
But thanks gang for all the support..........Bronco

You did okay, showing them, telling them, and setting them straight. You just have to do it. I done it too. Just try not to make a habit out of it LMAO...Tongue

RE: Had a little battle with N.C.M.
I do not understand how they can do the scheduling and expect you to drop everything and expect you be at physical therpy.

I have always scheduled my own physical therapy.

RE: Had a little battle with N.C.M.
WTG there is alot of ncm that haven't got a clue. I wish they all had to live our lives for a month and deal with ncm that act like they do and see what they are doing to us.

May God send his angels to hold you in his arms
