RE: Too Long or The Normal Time
Sparkey
the cervical injections did nothing for me also but the doc saw fit to give me a series of 3 anyway. A year or so afterward he gave me 2 series of facet joint injections in the neck. I think I felt good or should say better for about 4 days.

RE: Too Long or The Normal Time
I had a cervical ESI done in August of 2005 and ended up at the ER the next day, and then got to spend 7 days in the hospital from an allergic reaction to it. So I can no longer take anything related to steroids. On top of that it made my blood sugar skyrocket, and that is when I found out that I was also a diabetic.

So, ESI's did nothing for me either.

RE: Too Long or The Normal Time
Hi,
Back to time frame....
WC seems to be going at it's normal spped with your case/injury. All conservative medical treatments are tried Prior to any surgery. Surgery is the last resort, and only after all PT, shots, & meds are tried and proven to be failures. In the meantime...the injured suffers.
I dislocated my shoulder, a trip to the ER solved the problem as the back door I entered, came shut on my injured area knocking me to the ground, and put it back into place! My shoulder then subluxed with every step i took....I worked over a year, with no restrictions, only meds, massage, injections, PT all failures. Surgery was 1.4 years after the orig injury. This is normal response when on WC.

Unless you are bleeding, or have a broken bone sticking through the skin....most injuries are treated this way. No, it is not fair...but it's how they operate.
