Problems with carpal tunnel injection & ?
I have bilateral carpal tunnel and had an appointment witht he doctor today.

The doctor decided to do an injection of the right hand.
He inserted the needle and had to stop. I had such severe pain in the thumb/ finger area, constant electric shocks up the fingers. This was before the medication was injected.

The doctor looked at me and saw the pain I was experiencing and said, "We need to stop"

I do have a high pain tolerance, I've had 4 ESI's and 2 injections of the knee.

What I went thru today was beyond my limits.

I will start physical therapy for one month and see if that helps.

I am seeking treatment at my own expense as the carpal tunnel has gotten much worse, also having pains in the elbow.

I do not have a clue what happened today.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like he /she hit a inflamed nerve. Or you need trigger finger surgery, which can be performed in their office.

RE: Problems with carpal tunnel injection & ?
I saw my doctor today, osteopath.

He looked at my hands and said I have muscle waste of the left hand.
He said I need surgery now on the left hand, I am set to see a hand surgeon June 1st.

The other hand (right & dominant) is the one the injection was attempted yesterday.

The right hand may or may not be wc related, we are waiting on the judge's decision
at this time on the back, right knee & right hand.
