why????
Any advise or input as to why the Ins.comp would want to settle a claim even if the injuried worker is still having problem from the injury. I live in Louisiana

to quit paying any more money....most states once you settle you also can settle medical they think if you are starving and about to lose everything you own they can throw a couple of bucks at you and get you off their backs
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone.You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life,you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: why????
To allow workers to return to independent decision making about their own disability and treatment needs as well as resolve disputes without prolonged litigation. (workers comp often does not do a good job with either.)
