pa workers comp help

RE: pa workers comp help
Well, since it was a simple exacerbation recognized as an issue by your Boss since he is the one who took you to the ER where you were subsequently released I am going to presume that your asthma has returned to baseline status. So why not return to work, let WC pay the bills since your Boss recognized the problem, and move on ? Or is there more to the story?

Is this a WC attorney? Why did you hire one so quickly? I'm just curious. I live in PA too. I do understand what your attorney is saying that "it is much better if you are in a Dr.s care immediately" BUT the hospital told you what kind of DR. to see. DO you know why? Are your lungs damaged. Iwould expenct there to be a problem. I have asthma also and if I inhaled a chemical I would still be in the hospital. Pulmunologist's are just like any other specialist , hard to get an appt with. Are there any others? Would it help if your primary Dr. called one? It did my husband. DOe shis office feel this can wait a month? You really don't need an attorney unless your claim is denied. In PA the IC has 21 days to accept/deny a claim. Your attorney is looking at this. Without a Dr. saying this is work related and you should/shouln't be out of work the IC will almost always deny. Wishing you the best. If you don't mind answering some of my questions we can help better. Limbo will be along and our resident PA attorney Tim Belt is GREEEEEEEEEEEAT!

Odd that the test is so far out when you will have been long removed from the exposure. Do you have recent pre-exposure tests to compare it to ? and I imagine your income will start rolling in soon too. Good Luck.

Comp, I'm a bit Confused on Your Actual Injury Date, but if You Received a Claim Number from the Dept.of Labor and Industry, Your Case must have been Accepted. Does the Claim form Letter State TTD, (Temporary Total Disability)? There is a 7 Day Waiting Period, and if You aren't Back to Work by then, Your Wages will be Averaged Using the Highest 3 of Your Last 4 Quarters of Earnings, Added Together and Then Divided by 12 I Believe, and You will Receive 66 2/3% of that Averaged Amount. The Reason it's Lower than Your Actual Wage is because the Monies You Receive are non-taxable. Did Your Attorney Explain this to You? Did You Sign a Contingency Agreement with Your Attorney? I'm Sure that Your Attorney made Sure to Tell You to be Sure and Attend the Dr.'s Appt.made for You by Your Employers Ins. Co. Correct? How Long have You been Off at this Point? As You can See there is a lot that has to be Answered to be able to Assist You, Hopefully You can Fill Us in, so We can Better give Advice! Best of Luck!!Wink

RE: pa workers comp help

Limbo..I had a claim number 48 hours after injured. My claim was still denied. Same thing with Hubby. I guess it depends on the IC>

Tim .... I hired an attorney within 5 days of being injured, hadn't been accepted ot denied yet. Some of my injuries were pre-exisiting, i was hurt too badly this time, and knew I couldn't handle things on my own. It was my 5th WC injury with same employer. Funny it's the first time I had an attorney and the first time I was denied.

Comp help......just some clarity would help. Is your asthma under control now? Was it before the exposure? I know you said you've had two attacks since the injury. Is that abnormal for you?> I take singulair and maybe once or twice a year I have an attack. Usually it's if I've eaten something I shouldn't have OR am around someone with strong , heavy perfume on. Best to you.

God is never late.

In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years.

comp help.

You may have asthma, but many do. The long time exposure to the chemicals may have done damage. Not trying to scare you but I would stick with your lawyer for you may have somthing more then wc issues.
I wish you best of luck and hang in there.
P.S Ephedrine helps with asthma keeps you from using pro air as much. It also is like a pick me up energy boost, but check with Dr to be safe in your situation.

comp help & capricorn.

I also have asthma really bad, and perfumes set it off fast. When I was hospitalized I kept having asthma attacks. I finnaly had my wife or I tell anyone who smelled like a perfume parlor "DR or Nurse"
to leave my room and send someone who's not wearing perfumes e.t.c.
I was born with it and has not gotten any better, just have to learn what to do and not to do.
I am on a crap load of meds too. loratidine, singular, advair, neb treatments and pro air, which does not work like the old albuteral. But I used to smoke and also used to much albuteral and have passed out from ussing it.
