RNvic...how is John doing at home? Did they give him pain medications and when does he start therapy. Therapy may have another opinion once he sees them. My prayers are continuing. Was there anything that happened that could have caused this injury? John is so very young to have his back hurting like this. I know you must be absolutly beside yourself with grief over it all. John is staying down and only getting up to go to the bath room. They gave him four meds with refills. He is to go back to the doctor next week and then will decide on the PT. But for now they are just wanting him to rest, and use the TENS unit. He is not very happy about it as the weather has just finally gotten were he can ride his motorcycle and now he may have to give that up. But we will wait and see how he heals and if the doctor will ok it.

I Lost the Ability to Ride, and it Broke My Heart when I had to Sell My Bike due to Money Issues! I Hope He doesn't Lose the Ability to Ride, it was Like taking My Right Arm!!

I would like to thank all of you for the prayers and well wishes, I know it was your prayers that got John though this injury and will help him heal.

I too am so sorry I just read this. I had two doctor appointments yesterday and I am very sorry for what has happened to John. I know exactly how he feels about the weather being nice and not being able to ride his bike. He needs to focus now on getting well so that he can once again ride.

2 yrs. ago I went with my husband and took a motorcycle riding course and then went out and bought two brand new harleys. I was so excited as now it was the time in our lives that we could go out and go explore riding on weekends etc. Then I got injured at work. I have not rode my bike since. It has 300 miles on it and is a 2007 Harley sportster 1200. Now I have not got any better as I had hoped I would and I am thinking about selling it this year or trading it in with my husbands dyna low rider for a bike we can both ride on together.

Please let him know that he is in our thoughts and prayers and that he will get better with time. If he is not better this year to ride, there is always next year. The bike will always be there waiting for him : ).
