hi everyone...just have a quick question if any of you have had a diskogram and what was your experiance with it mine is scedualed for tomm very nervous since there saying this is considered a surgery...any replies will be appreciated..ty all

Well I'm sure everybody is differant but mine was not bad at all. My wife hated hers but said she would do it again to get the info. Funny thing was after I had this done they sent me to a surgeon, he say I see that they reproduced your pain during the test. I said if that is what the doctor said I'm sure it's right but I remembered very little of it. The surgeon was very surprized I didn't remember it. Hope your goes as well. Good luck

thank you for your reply..im hoping the same for me as i do not want to relive the pain..but if this is what it takes to finally figure out what is going on ill have to deal with it..manley how long did yours take and was there a recovery time with it???

If I remember right it only took around an hour. My recovery wasn't too bad at all. I was sore for a few days. Again it depends on each person and what is wrong. A couple of friends at work didn't like the test at all and had more trouble then I did.
I know I felt pain at times but just don't remember it that well, if that makes since.

The day of the discogram wasn't bad but the next day I felt like I had been ran over by a truck.

A discogram is a test if that is what you are asking

yes that is what i was asking but a test for what i have 2 ruptured disk in the lumbar reigon have been off work for 3 months..is this just the next step before gettin fixed??

All I can say for sure is I hope it is the last test before you get it fixed, but don't hold your breath. It is a test and the results will help your doctors decide what to do for you.

Disc in your back will be filled with a dye to see if they are leaking. It is no where near a surgery.
