How long can you receive WC?

[/color][/size][/font][font=Courier][size=medium][color=#000000]:cool HELLO EVERYBODY! I live in florida and does anyone know how long you can receive workers comp benefits. My injury was 10/31/07. I injuried my back and left shoulder and neck. I have had surgery on my back(microdiskectomy)when my disk poped out (L5)and other procedures. This is all new to me first time. After that my spinal surgeon did a diskcogram and discovered that L3,L4 is also herniated. He says that he will not do a spinal fuson on these disk because the recovery from this major surgery is only 50% recovery. He says that I have reached my MMI. I was told that once you reach MMI you take that % times 2 and that is how many weeks you have left to receive benefits. Is this true?

HEY I am from florida, I dont know much except what I have learned from here on the board and from my attornety. he did say they take your mmi and times it by 2 but If I weere you get an wc attoerny to make sure they dont screw you out of a settlement. because they will try to use that % TIMES TWO AS A SETTLEMENT. SO i would talk to someone. I did and very glad I did, and I have Jayne to thank for that. So thanks Jayne. Sorry I couldnt help you anymore.
