please help a mother with her son
My son was injured on the job on Feb 21st he is seeing a workmans comp doc. He was hurt on the job. He continues to tell the doc that his pain is getting worse and going down his leg and arm. The doc put him in physical therapy and the therapist says his back is so swollen she cant feel his spinal cord. My son is in so much pain but doc continues to tell him it is just a pulled muscle. He put him on a steroid pack and a muscle relaxer. Nothing else for the pain. My son is in Tn and I am in Michigan. The doc rufused to do a mri or xray at this point. My son continues to tell the doc that the pain isnt getting any better but he wont listen..I dont know what my rights are and he is on 19 and so young to have a back injury. Please please help.

RE: please help a mother with her son
there is a website that has information on Tennessee's work comp rules
he can request a change of doctors or ask for second opinion.

RE: please help a mother with her son
I know how hard it is as a parent, away from our kids. I remember when my daughter called for the first time and sick, when she was a freshman in college and did not know if she should go to the ER or not. So, I feel for you and I will keep you in my prayers. Do as much research on TN W/C, even if it is through the internet, and prepare him to have to possibly need to fight for himself.
