RE: Right shoulder injury....1st time WC
Hi Laurie,
Thanks for sharing. It is nice to hear that things went well for you. I can not imagine how an insurance company can not see that CNAs and RNs are more prone to injuries simply due to the nature of the job..........lifting heavy, sometimes obese patients. I just hope that I have not injuried myself to the point where I will need surgery. That is the last thing I want, but if it is necessary to resume full fuction......if possible......then certainly I will do it. I just know that right now I can not sleep on my right shoulder and occasionally I hear a popping noise when I rotate it. I can not use my right arm for any kind of heavy lifting......even after all the anti-inflammatories and the steroid injection (I read that too many steroid injections into the muscle can actually further weaken the tendons so I do not want to do that). And I still have that dull, aching feeling and sometimes a burning, tingling sensation.......of course I know that has got to be the nerves in that area. Most importantly I just hope I do not encounter the problems that I have heard already. It is really upsetting. Thanks so much everyone for sharing your stories with me, I do appreciate it and I feel for you.......especially the injustice that you may feel. I hope I have not come across as too harsh, I get mad quickly when I see injustice and I am working on controlling my anger on that......so forgive if I came across that way at all. Cindy |
