Court tomorrow, torn on what to do.
I have wc court tomorrow, received letter from attorney weeks ago that I need to be at court. Purpose of hearing is for to approval of wc to pay mileage for dr appt in another state, (judge ordered this appt & had appt last month)

My attorney called and said I don't have to be there, he can handle it without me.

My question is, can the INS Co use the hearing to discontinue benefits, or for other personal gains?

Bummer typically the judge will only hear what was brought to the table. If there were no issues raised and the only issue is the milage then you should not worry. Also, your attorney would have to object to any other issues being brought up that wer not prviously discussed.
Hang in there!

Hell ya...you better go! I learned the hard way once, my attorney told me once that I didn't need to be there, when it came time for the settlement court hearing, that was one of the questions that i was asked in front of the Judge..."How many times have you missed court/hearing dates?" Thank goodness it was only one!
Whenever you get a request to attend a conference or hearing...make sure you go!
