You've Received Great Advice form the Others Above, and there Surely are Good NCM's and Bad Ones, as Kate Said! I Personally think She was Setting You Up for a Fall, had You done what She had told You and admitted it to Her, She could have Used that Against You by Saying You Drank under Medication and are a "Drug Seeker" because You Abused Your Muscle Relaxers!! Think about it, that would be a Great Argument for them in Front of a w/c Judge, You on Tape Admitting You did these things!! Of course She would Lie about what She told You to do, and they would Probably have Closed Your Case!! Be Very Careful of this One, as Jayne Said, they can Cause a lot of Harm!!!

First off that is grounds for this NCM to be dismissed from your care. I would mention this to my doctor ASAP and also call my adjuster and tell them about this nurse that told you to drink wine on your meds. and also your lawyer if you have one. As you know you can end up dying from drinking and taking certain medication. I know that one glass of wine may not kill you but she has no idea how your body would handle that type of reaction. This nurse scares me already in how she is trying to be your treating doctor by telling you what you should and should not do. Get rid of her NOW!!!!

PS. Make the doctor put in his notes at your visit that you spoke to hiim about how uncomfortable you felt having this NCM tell you to drink on medication and double up on them also. This way it is documented in your records if presented in your case if they ever tried to say you drink and take your medication, and this way you would have it documented by the doctor that you disagreed with the NCM on doing so.

there is plain nothing good that ever comes out of having nmc. i had one and would never allow another one to follow me arond again--their main goal is to get a doctor to release you back to work whether or not your able. mine had a tendency of writing just oopisite what the doctors would say--i now, do go go to a single appt--including an ime --without my husband. thankfully in il we can deccline having a ncm which is exactly what i would do i they dare ask. plus my husband still swerars if he ever sees the one i had waybck on 1994 he'd kill em. your recovery shuld be between your doctor and you when someone else steps in is when all the problems stART--I RECOOMEND TO ANYONE OUT THEIR TO FORGO A NCM IF THEIR STATE ALLOWS--its one less headache and phone calls

and to the nurse who called to check up on you--my ime wrote in his report that i was tan and could see tan lines--like i was"burning" for this sort of time off and out having fun--they need to update the list they give the ime's things to look for (they think if your tan your having fun----the ime's are so old they dont know about spray tans.

anyway had to add my 2 sense--its been a crap of a day--for some reason work has been on my mind all day--id give anything to be back.
