Pain Patch Info
http://www.johnshopkinshealthalerts.com/...090110_005

I find the newer pain patch info interesting as I haven't heard of them before. I also wonder why lidodern pain patches weren't mentioned in this report. They are expensive, and I use them occassionally. They work ok, but I find I have to use something to keep them on. They don't stay on very well.

Let Go, and Let God......

RE: Pain Patch Info
I used the Duragesic (Fentanyl) Patch, 100Mcg. per Hour 3 Day Patches for Over 1/ 1/2 Years. I had to watch I didn't get too Overheated, and they seemed to Work O.K. at First, but at the End I had to Stop Use due to Chemical Burns, and Heavy Calluses on My Stomach where I applied them. I was left with no choice but to go to Methadone, and it Works Well, but Leaves Me Pretty Edgy. Kids are actually Chewing these Patches, or Heating them in the Microwave and Placing them on Their Foreheads to get a Quick High!! We just had an Overdose in Our Community Recently, and He was Found with 2 Patches on His Body, and One in His Mouth. If not Used Correctly, as with any Med. they can be Very Dangerous!!Wink

RE: Pain Patch Info
Nice post CC. I still use the Lidoderm when needed. They help dead centered on my lumbar but no where else. (neck, shoulder). Limbo I used to pray for you when you were using them. Myhusband tried and couldn't stand the feeling anymore and he was only on 25 mg. His Dr. wanted him hospitalized to get him off them but we did it at home. It was a routine that I had to follow. 2 percocet every couple of hours for 2 days, then one, etc. You get the picture. It took him a full two weeks before he was right again. God bless you. Yes I have also read in my area where they are becoming a drug of choice for users. Sad, All we need is another drug being used illegally. I think some who are prescribed them need the money for food and housing therefore sell them for a profit. JMO>
