Quick question.....

RE: Quick question.....
What is wrong or incorrect about what I said?

Quote:Don't cash the check until things are squared away. Your C/A may be jumping the gun. You really should at least talk to a W/C attorney.

Talking to a W/C attorney would give dave_tube more information about why he received the check, and clear up any question he has about it's receipt. Talking to an attorney does not commit someone to retaining an attorney. I am a firm believer that there is a correct time to hire an attorney; and not everyone needs one.

Lily;
thank you for your excellent contribution, did you have something to say ? We do not use adjusters in my state btw...

Jayne,
I understand your point, agree completely and I have already been called to task, by you I believe, when I suggested the very same thing here, that the advice given on this forum is worth exactly what it costs; i.e why ask anyone but a lawyer of your state anything of a technical matter concerning workers comp ? This is not to say that the solace and companionship of fellow travelers is not important and certainly exactly what is needed much too often for IW's. I had not seen 1171 mention anything at all about NOT getting an atty but missed the dig directed at you
LOL ! Sorry

ahhhhhhhh its cool she does it alot.......I am used to it I believe she gets bored and tries to boost the count by engaging me.....it works lol

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

Well, maybe. At times s/he tries too hard to let us think s/he is a man. But I don't know. 1171 has been very helpful to me offline and I appreciate all the help.

I always had the feeling that 1171 and BeenThere were one in the same. Then BeenThere just dissappeared. Now look at me. Who is being catty now? Tongue

On my last psychological exam, one of the tests was to complete the sentences. I think there were about 50 sentences. One question was, I think women............ My answer was "I think women are all gossippers and catty." Wouldn't you know it, that one sentence was highlighted in the AME report.

RE: Quick question.....
I finally received some info in the mail concerning that "Minor Permanent Partial Disability" check.. i think. I'm not even sure how to understand it. It doesn't say alot but here it is: "Payment for Perm disability is STARTING and is SENT SEPARATELY for the period starting 12/08/08 through 12/21/08. Your weekly compensation rate is $230.00 based on your earnings of $859.46 per week. Payments will be sent to you every two weeks on FRIDAY and will continue until perm disability benefits are paid as estimated to be due upon termination of temp disability indemnity payments based upon A REASONABLE ESTIMATE OF YOUR PERM DISABILITY LEVEL WE WILL BE ADVANCING YOU 2% PERM DISABILITY OR $1380.00."
It then has a couple other papers with Q and A.
Any obvious questions i should ask my doctor, or claims adjuster?
Thanks again for everyones input!!
