Smile I live in florida, work out of ny and hurt in texas.who covers me?
On Thursday of last week I fell out of a tractor trailer at a distribution facility.I broke my arm and chipped a bone in my wrist. Was transported to a hospital er and was given multiple xrays. I flew back home to florida on Friday and heading to my primary care doctor on Monday for an exam and a referral to an or tho doctor. Which state covers me? I work out of new york and my payroll is out of new york. The injury happened in Texas and I reside legally in Florida. Please help..

NY would be my guess. What did your employer say?

generally it's where you reside or where you work. It can be both and you can chose.

check out your 3 states to see which has the best benifits for you..

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

my neighbor lived in this state but worked OTR for a MN company, injured when fell from truck and claim is under MN comp.

Your accident would not be an uncommon event for your employer and the employer would know the answer and what paperwork to fill out. So what did the employer tell you ?
