I am currently recieving physical therapy for a horribly sprained ankle which happened at work. I am also looking for other employment and have interviews scheduled.
I live in Wisconsin. If I quit my job, with two weeks notice, and start a new job, but am still needing physical therapy for my injury, does the employer have to pay for the medical bills until the injury is released by the medical professionals? I've searched through the WI state area, but can't find anything on it. Thanks to whomever responds! I appreciate it! |

RE: HELP! What if I find different job while still being treated for injury, who pays?
Yes, I've filed a claim. I've had to go to physical therapy for 2 weeks now. I've been on restrictions (sit down work only). I am looking for other employment. Have interviews lined up already. If I quit my job before I'm totally healed, does the employer still have to pay for my medical treatment, or will it then come out of my pocket? I live in WI, if that matters. Any help would be appreciated.

YES, the medical care will follow you. You are not locked into employment with a company because you got injured while working there.
8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom. |

Welcome to the forum, I am not sure but the present employer is responsble for the treatment. If you are recieving TTD payment they can stop when you resign, but needed care should continue until you reach MMI
May God send his angels to hold you in his arms |
