Workers Compensation System Sucks

Hi all,
In Aug i was awarded PPD as well as industrial with life time payments and health care. Lo and behold the insurance co is now screwing around and not paying my PM Dr . I sent them the protocol from the NYS comp site to file a complaint and hopefully get paid. Is this normally how the IC try and get you to settle ? I realize there is nothing in it for my attorney so he probably wont be so quick to help me. Is there any kind of legal recourse to get this paid? Im sure next they will stop paying for my meds also.
Now for a little history on myself.
Apparently i was born with a tethered spinal cord . I didnt know this until i had a lifting injury back in 2002 which involved my lumbar and cervical. I was in excrutiating pain immediately after the injury. I have since had the cord released with no relief as well as surgery on lower lumbar disc herniation. I was also diagnosed with degenerative disc disease which affects quite a few discs.

It depends on why they are not paying. the reasons could be anywhere from a fee schedule issue to a lost approval letter.
bringing the issue back to the comp court is the best way to resolve it. look into penalties for unreasonable denials.
