confused...need advice
I was injured on the job a couple months ago. I returned to work on light duty but my employer did not acknowledge the work restrictions. I did not heal properly and had to go off of work again. I am now able to return on light duty again but I am afraid I will be put into the same position all over again. On top of that, I was confronted by my employer about my commitment to the job. I feel like I am being asked to quit. I really need to get out of my current job because my employer does not allow me to heal (long story short). I need some advice on what to do. Will I still be compensated for previous and future medical expenses from the injury if I quit? What can I do? Thanks

BTW...I live in Wisconsin

If on light duty. DO NOT VIOLATE THE RESTRICTIONS. If jyour employer does not honor the restrictions, then let the DR. know. He/she may take you off work. Your WC payments will be less than you make while working, but, your body will heal. If you quit you may loose monetary benifits. Let the DR. take you off work. If you quit and find work else were, your medical benifits will follow you. You are not married to the company because you got injuried. You can always quit, and/or look for work else where.

Do not quit. If you quit they could stop your ttd payments they would most likely continue the medical but not your weekly. If they terminate you then you should continue your weekly benefits until you reach mmi, regardless if you are fired or not. Get your restrictions in writing, give copy to your supervisor, HR, and carry copy with you at all times. If your supervisor ask you to do something that is against you restrictions, remind him of the restrictions and if have to, show him a copy of the restrictions. If he continues to ask you to go against restrictions return to your doctor and talk with him about it, have him take you off work.

May God send his angels to hold you in his arms

Those restrictions are what the doctor ordered ... company doesnt care if they can show that you arent following them then they have a way out of continuing medical benifits ... stay in them at all times .......
