25% disability
Can I get ssi, ssdi, or ssa with a 25% permanent disability? I have a herminated disc and also have sarcoidosis. Both of my legs are getting numb and is shrinking. I'm losing feeling in my hands now. Also should hire a lawyer to do it? Thanks

RE: 25% disability
Not generally.
"Under the Social Security Act, "disability" means "inability to engage in any substantial gainful activity by reason of any medically determinable physical or mental impairment which can be expected to result in death or has lasted or can be expected to last for a continuous period of not less than 12 months." you can find out more here http://www.nosscr.org/faq.html |

RE: 25% disability
Do not confuse WC disabilty with SSDI.. They are two completely different issues. You can apply for SSDI and/or SSI on line. You do not need an attorney to do that.
8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom. |
