scared for c5 fusion

I have had the epideral steroid shots into my c5. I had them back to back the first one and the the other one the following week. It has helped with the inflamation and the numbness. I still have pain when I try to use my neck. I have to go back to the specialist on the 29th of this month to discuss the fusion. I have read other peoples results and now I am terrified to even think of it. I seem to be okay with the pain if I am at home and can relax when it starts getting irritated. I am 34yrs female and in good health is it silly for me to think that it will heal without surgery?

do what you think is rite for you.the dr seems to think it needs done for a reason,so ask him what you will gain by having the fusion.everyone heals different your young and you will do fine.think about all the pros and cons after you talk to ur dr.then decide if you want to go ahead with fusion.its not fun and i had no choice on my fusion.good luck with what ever you decide.hurt.
