Web site for information about AMA Guides to Permanent Impairment
Hi Everyone,

I came across this site during my travels across the internet to find out more information regarding ratings etc, under the AMA Guide to Permanent Impairment 6th Edition.
It give a comprehensive illustration of all of the states, who submits to the 4th, 5th or 6th editions of the AMA guide, and if you click on the state you can actually find all of that particular states requirements under the guide regarding disputes etc.

It does make for interesting, if not difficult, reading. Hope it is of some use to people.

Impairment Use of the AMA Guides

Try cutting and pasting that into your browser....it doesn't look like it would work, let me know if it doesn't and I will try something else.

Ok, I also came across a site that provides a video in Flash that you can view and it gives a pretty detailed instructional presentation about the differences between the 5th and the 6th editions, how rating are adjusted either for a higher rating, or a lower rating. I found it extremely interesting. When you go to the site, it asks you to sign in, but I didn't do that. I just clicked on the various different options, came across and overview video presentation of the 6th edition and clicked that. It lasts about half an hour.

RE: Web site for information about AMA Guides to Permanent Impairment
I just went through the tips section that was suggested. It pretty much just covers the 5th edition, as since most of the states use the 6th, it won't help too much. Especially in the spine section. That area has been completely revised; you can see that when you go to the video I viewed. If you do go to the tips section there is a click on view of the 6th and that takes you directly to the area I told you about for the video.
