Does anyone know of a good worker comp doctor that will referral me to get surgery for a herinated disc. It been 2 yr since I have had to and I don't want to wait too long or else my nerve will stop regenerating. I live in the bay area in Oakland, CA 94606. thanks
The doctor I am seeing right now said that I am not a candidates for surgery. But I feel that he not doing his job or he on the defendent side. Name, phone, and address of a doctor is good. Thanks in advance! P.S my case had been settle for stipulation and award. I don't know if that make a differences? |

RE: Northern california doctors.
even if you find a doc who'll recommend surgery the employer/carrier can object and require spinal surgery second opinion before authorizing.
see Labor Code 4062 http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/displa...=4060-4068 |

RE: Northern california doctors.
its a hard question to answere know one really knows if the mpn dr. is for you or the insurance.if they work for the insurance than they may not be looking out for ur best intrest or maybe the dr is.do you feel the dr. did everything he/she could for you doesnt sound like you think so.so now ask for a second opinion for surgery.have they done a discogram to pinpoint the disc thats causing you trouble?there are alot of things that need to be done before you get cut open.good luck
