RE: got a text from niece in Houston
I can truely understand the devistation she is going through after I just was hit by a tornado in July. It is a very difficult time when you lose things you love and not to mention things not being the way they were before the disaster.

I have been dealing with a clean up for over a month now, and now we are starting to have the flooding. Thank god for insurance and do not be afraid to ask for help if needed. People pull together in these times, and if it was not for the kindness of the red cross, I do not know what we would have done. It also helps to know that people understand what you are going through after this type of disaster. We had alot of family and friends support and it still continues today.

I will keep her and everyone in Texas in my prayers. I use to live in El Paso when growing up : )

carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD.

Praying for all those in Ike's path. Any news from anyone's family or any of our own?

RE: got a text from niece in Houston
Flooding in my area has let up, the roads cleared Friday eve and we were able to get to town. I stocked up on food, and drinking water.

The home I lived in when I was a child was in a flood area. I do remember we lost everything we owned a couple of times due to flooding.

Saying prayers for all.
