Got doctors release but work said no work California
in california worked for this company 8 years dislocated my left knee tore 3 ligiments had surgery 6months ago got doctors release to go back to work someone else is doing my job and employer said no work right now to slow i will be p/s next month does that mean workmans comp. stops and sdi starts at 260 a week there goes my house my everything been sober and clean for 13 years have three beautiful children but at wits end doesn,t my employer have to employ me? what are my rights? Do i have any hope for anything or should i put my house up for sale now or just walk away

You should be able to Sign Up for Un-Employment with no Problem until either Things Pick-Up at Your Work, or You find New! I Hope this Helps, and Remember One Day at a Time, You are doing Great and don't want to Lose the Work You have put into it! My Very Best, and Please let Us know How things Go!!

You might also be entitled to some advance payments on your permanent disability.

Your Employer doesn't have to find, or make a job for you ,after your FLMA has run out.
I'm sorry that they won't let you return....but this is the norm after one is injured sad to say. Several of us on here were terminated after our injuries, even after years of dedicated service. All you can do is wait it out and see what happens at work. Do the UE in the meantime. Keep posting, this will help with the past "sober" problem...You do not want to re-visit that problem. We will pep talk you, and offer a shoulder as much as we can! Prayers for you to have strength! Lilly
