RE: special 9 oclock prayer tonite
My Dear Extended Family,
This will probably be my last post until this storm is over and our power is restored. I want to thank all of you for the prayers and please keep them coming. Right now the winds are picking up and it will be downhill from here on out until this is over. I would think we will probably be losing power somewhere around noon today. The baremetric pressure as we measure it with our GPA inside our home is dropping and will continue to do so as conditions get worse. We are expected to get winds around 100 with gusts up to around 110-115 mph. As soon as we have power restored and internet restored (that is another thing not only power) I will be here to let all of you know how we weathered this storm. Please remember, I love all of you dearly. God Bless all of you. MJC.... thanks so much for checking in and letting us know how you are. Del and I have been watching TV to check on your areas. I am glad you are safe, and I will continue to believe God that you are going to stay safe. Thanks so much. I hope this storm just resolves itself. Love you lots Red

RE: special 9 oclock prayer tonite
Hello To My Family,
Well, we made it without too much damage. We lost power around 9:30 am Monday morning and we just got our power back this morning, Thursday. We had alot of tree branches down and we lost one huge tree next to my sweeties cabinet shop which hit on top his mothers house over her bedroom area. I went to her house yesterday and demanded that she come from out of the heat. She is 83 years old and I know the heat was getting to her. I managed to bring her with us in our camper cause we had AC in there. While walking her back to her house around 12 noon, one of her ankles gave out. She seemed ok but late afternoon she could not stand on it and we had to take her to the emergency room. It looks like she has a hairline fracture. I brought the wheelchair I had to her so that may help her out some. I will checking on her until she gets better. You folks will not believe this and I can't either. I am normally so afraid of these storms I pace and pace. I guess the days before waiting that length of time for it to hit us wore me out. When we lost power we hooked to our generator and was able to have a fan and TV. I stretched out on my bed to watch TV under the fan and I passed out asleep. I woke up and the hurricane had already passed over us. That is a real miracle that I fell asleep. I guess my mind and body could not go anymore. I told my sweetie that at least he didn't have to watch me be a nervous wreck and listen to my mouth.....lol. Our parish is not completely up and running with electricity and it may still be a week or so before we get to that point. We also had sewage problems and could not flush the toliets but then again we had the camper. I want to thank each of you that has been praying for us. I know how powerful prayer can be. With all the prayers that you people said for us I think that is why we did not get the powerful storm that was anticipated. My love to all of you and may God Bless each of you. We need to begin praying for the people in the path of Hanna and we are keeping an eye on Ike and Josephine.
