My Dear Friends,
Thanks for all the BD wishes.....they are deeply appreciated. I was on the computer looking at the weather.

Yes, we are getting ready to get hit hard. My parish has a mandatory evacuation but we will be staying put and have batten down the hatches. Hurricane Gustav will be a storm to reckon with but we have done it many times in the past. Richard does not leave this area. We have a strong and well built home and hate to leave to go to something that might fall apart at the first big wind. We will have major flooding but we have never had a problem in the past. For now we are just watching and waiting but we are prepared.

I think of all of you often but have had so much going in here with myself and my ill mother and now a sister that I stay occupied. I did have a fight with SS as they were trying to say they overpaid me over $40 thousand and I had to pay them back now. They also had cut my SS check to $100. This had me very upset and I was going through this torture when I left the forum. I was too overwhelmed at the thought that they would take every penny I had saved and suffered for. It is a very trying situation to be in and they have no mercy on you. I was dealing with a real old bitch in our local office. My SS lawyer did handle it and I came out good so I think it is now over. They re-instated my full check and they did do an adjustment for the overpayment as my lawyer found where they had underpaid me from 1999-2003. All they can get is $10 a month since they would not waive the overpayment. I knew that bitch would try to stick it to me and my lawyer told me she would due to her sassy attitude. Anyway, I am feeling better now that this is behind me. I was also suffering with a real bad esopheagal yeast infection which was found through an EDG I had done. I also have some endronomas (spelling?) on my adrenal glands which will be checked again in about 3-4 months to see if they are getting larger.

Again, thanks for the well wishes and say a prayer for us in Louisiana. I am in Iberia parish in case anyone is interested and watching the weather channel. We are not far from St. Mary parish and Vermilion parish 20 miles on either side. I will try and report back when I am able and this storm is behind us.

MJC.... it is so good to hear from you. I miss you dearly. I am sorry to hear of all your misfortunes, but am glad to hear that it is behind you and that it worked out ok. Never forget that you have a family here who cares deeply for you. You are in my prayers daily and right now even more so. You are very courageous to stay with this storm coming. It sounds like it will hit at a cat. 5. Very fast winds at that category. Please be careful and come back afterwards assoon as you can and let us know you are safe. We love you dear friend...,.Red
