Discrimination?

RE: Discrimination?
To jayne and kate,

The meeting about my husband would probably be behind closed doors and then discussed with him after.

I was wondering if when he has his sit-down with the big boss, and his boss does not consent to having the conversation taped, would he be reprimanded for wanting to do it?

He has not had any write-ups or warnings from his bosses and has been a very dedicated worker.

I told him that any conversation he has regarding is ability to perform at work should be written down. But the posts I have read makes me think that this is all going to be "well, he said....she said....blah, blah, blah.

Thoughts?

RE: Discrimination?
Hi jayne,

No lawyer. Everything was handled by WC. He did receive some extra money (6K). When I asked WC what this was for, he said it was money due to him for being injured. Is this a settlement? The WC didn't mention.

What would be the purpose of a settlement? Sorry, I don't know anything about WC, so please excuse my lack of knowledge.

Thanks.

PS. We have no money for an attorney.

RE: Discrimination?
jayne,

So the 6K was a settlement? We didn't ask for one. Are they automatically granted?

The only thing we wanted out of this mess was for my husband to be able to work so he can support our family. We didn't expect any money because of, well, you know, our lack of knowledge.

This is so confusing, we were supposed to get an attorney????

RE: Discrimination?
Maybe he should just let himself get injured at work again. I'm at my wits end.

Thanks to everyone for the education.
