;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: A Blast from the Past > Nov. 2006
wow BB - that is a blast from the past.

Admin - I remember how DrDave helped me with information and often think of what he is doing these days. Maybe some on this board don't know or remember him but he was an awesome place for information about the body and what needs to be done to help heal when we weren't getting help from WC.

As for me - I am working aprx 30 hours a week at the moment. Still suffer from lots of spasms in my shoulder and fatigue from the fibro - but mentally doing so much better that I am back to work. And the latest news on that is that I am being promoted as well - so will be working 40 hours a week soon.

Since I work in an area that does have other injured workers and senior citizens that may not be able to lift much - when I bag items for them, I do try to keep them light for them. I know how much trouble I have with heavy bags at times. Trust me the customers appreciate this extra step - I am also willing to help them put them in the car for them - something not seen much these days. The variety in my job keeps me well within my restrictions Smile Smile

As far as driller goes - he's still moving around and up the ladder where he works. Just got transfered to the newest rig that they have. And 5 yrs later we are still together. 2 injured workers that met here and became really good friends and then moved from there.

I am proud to be a memeber and to have met all of you. I was a scared IW when I came here. Now I am determined to get on with my life inspite of WC.

Pooh>>>> what a wonderful story. Thank you for sharing with all. Most of us knew but sooooooooo very nice for newcomers to hear a success after WC story.

Love,

Pooh, what a great post. So glad things are working out for you. I had completely forgotten about Dr. Dave. I too wonder where he is. Years ago, in version 1 of this board (this is version 3), we had a person who went by the name TS. They were also quite helpful, but, as so many, they too moved on. I often wonder where they are at.

I agree, BBBB you did a awesome thing reminding us all of those that had been a part of our family, but have moved on. Would be real nice if we could have a reunion and all be on.

May God send his angels to hold you in his arms
