medicaid question
If medicaid is your secondary provider and another insurance company is a primary, will they pay for a claim if the primary denies something but medicaid has approved the same thing, In other words will they pay for the whole amount of the claim.Hope this makes sense. Just curious. Thanks Halftrak

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: medicaid question

With my duaghter I had BCBS as primary and medicade as secondary, and several bills were rejected by BCBS and paid by medicade. Course, this was several years ago and things do change. |

RE: medicaid question
I called them and they said they have to get the denial from the primary first, since I am the only one who knows they denied it cause I talked to the primary this morning,so now I have to still wait for them to get it all on paper. So back to the waiting game but when I find out will surely let you guys know what happens. RE: medicaid question
Yeah Badboy, sometimes this is very confusing,This is for my son who is autistic, we have been trying to get him a voice activated computer since April, he has been approved by medicaid but now denied by our primary insurance. So will have to wait and see if medicaid will pay for it now.Halftrak

RE: medicaid question
My daughter had medicaid and we had this same problem. Medicaid paid 100% of the claim, but not until they got the denial letter from BCBS. I was able to call BCBS and I had them send a letter that stated that they would not cover the problem, so I did not have to actually take her for the procedure, file the claim and then wait for the denial. So, you may be able to do that and get the letter w/i the next week or so.

RE: medicaid question
One of my nephew's is autistic, and also non-verbal. He has not meet the 3 year old range as of yet.
Halftrak, I would like to know who is the Insurance with the denial. PM me with that would you? Reply's are intended solely for informational purposes.
