RE: help - info
So what I did without getting a lawyer involved in my case the whole time , and going to court pro-se is a good thing I did? I have not found out the verdict yet, but did mention I had no need all this time to get a lawyer involved because I had good communication with my adjuster and never had any trouble getting my meds, treatments till after my IME.
I did say I would get a lawyer if I needed to have another hearing. Let's hope this can be avoided. I have heard that it is good if a person can go without a legal help. Hopefully they are right about this. I suggest only when you need one, and you can usually tell early on if it is needed or not. Or in my case , at the end after a IME dispute. carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD. 1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10% |

RE: help - info
my employment lawyer didnt want money up front the only time he needed money from me was to file the suit and that was i think 250.00 and before we ever got to court the other side set up medaition for one its cheaper for everyone involved and it could get tied up in court for YEARS and get costly.you could win in court to only end up with a appeal then back to court.its a 50/50 with employment cases but the courts today are starting to lean towards the worker more and more.so think about it talk to some lawyers and see what happens.i had a good one he took no crap and this was a small two lawyer firm going after a multimillion doller company with high paid lawyers.
Each day is not a rite,it's a given. |

RE: help - info
ok you guys are going to love this. the day i gave my statement to their claims manager which was the 17th at 9:51am was the same day she put out a request from my doctor for records and SAME DAY SHE DENIED MY CLAIM. DUE TO
NRS. 616a.030,616a.265,616c.150,616c.160,616c.175,616c.015 and 617.440 You know this sucks, I get hurt a work my first time and get fired because of it and now denied and just the same day I get fired my husband get's into a really bad car accident and is laid up for two months and of course the guy who hit him is driving on a expired lic. and gave false insurance info. so no money coming in at all and we have to deal with this all and don't know what to do. his lawyer doesn't want it if the guys not insured. and i don't know what is best to do get a NAIW or a Lawyer? and one that waits to get paid. |

RE: help - info
For anyone who is not represented by an attorney, the IC will try to get your statement as quickly as possible, only to use it against you. Never never never give a statement without an attorney present. The IC or Claims Adjuster may threaten you, or try to intimidate you, or tell you your claim will be denied without a statement, but if they want your statement bad enough, they will depo you and will have to pay for an attorney for you.
Let Go, and Let God...... |
