returning to work
The doctor released me to return to work on Monday June 16 on light duty. I am to see him again on July 11 for impairment rating is this how it is usually done

If your doctor didn't give you your restriction in writting call his office and have them write them down and go get them, send copy to your lawyer and carry a copy with you at all times. Give your employer a copy as well. Do not do anything that is against the restrictions. If your pain is more than you can handle at work tell you boss you need to go either to your doctor or ER and go. Write down anything you can't do, or have problems doing and if have problem what is hard or impossible to do with out help. Take that list to the doctor with you and have him address the problems. He maybe letting you attempt to return to work knowing you might have problems and wants to know what you can/can't do.

So he must of place you at MMI with restrictions? Do as other's have said and return only with your restrictions. If you cannot do it, go to your primary doctor or treating physician and let them know.


What is your injury? Do you have any limitations?

carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD.
1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10%
