Sad Need input
Hi everyone, I am new here.

My injury occurred in May 2001 in Florida. I developed herniated disks in my neck and back from an auto accident. Finally in Jan 2007 I had a cervical fusion and much of the pressure went away in my head but I am still having problems with tingling and numbness down my arm and numbness in my upper back. The doctor says that I have to live with this, it may go away, maybe not.

I am so tired of dealing with WC that I asked my attorney to seek settlement. He is telling me that I am only gonna get 10K.......I am upset due to the numbness and pain that I am still experiencing......

Can this be?

RE: Need input
yes it could be....you are not paid pain and suffering only the work loss % if you are at MMI (maxium medical improvement) and get a low rating this is possiable. since you have been in the system so long they may have paid out the max on you already

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: Need input
yes it is possible. I having tingling , numbness in my hand with re-curring carpal tunnel and neuropathy. I have a 10% loss from what the IC IME said which is under 10,000. I have to fight now for the 32% given for my PIR rating from my doctor in a hearing whenever they feel like setting it up.

Such a sad thing that you will even lose more when you have to pay your lawyer on top of that award. Something needs to be done about this WC system.

carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD.
1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10%
