hip pain
im fused from S-1-L-4 things have been getting worse for some time now.has any one else with fusion on lower back been having bad hip pain?its getting worse every day some days i can hardly walk.if i sit to long or sleep to long it gets worse.i cant get anything done because i have no insuance any more and wc wont pay for anything.they didnt even pay for surgery they paid everthing up to that point then said not to the surgery.my lawyer has sent them papers trying to get them to pay but they wont even send him a reply.he even sent papers to there lawyers and they say nothing.this pain is getting worse i dont know if its from the fusion or the nurve damage.any one having this problem??i can afford to see a specialist.thought about calling my family dr. to see if he will cut me a break on the office call and maybe meds if he can figure it out,i cant afford exrays and all that stuff it would have to come out of my pocket.thanks for any help hurt.

Each day is not a rite,it's a given.

RE: hip pain
I've seen these tatics used in your State of Indiana. They will now combat the issue that you had surgery, and that is causing your problems. They will wait till you bring them in for hearing. Then they hit you with their Bomb. This is very common. They then will wait till you settle, and you pay the Bills from your Money of settlement. I can't say it enough, I don't like your State when it comes to being injured on the job. I have friends and family in your State, seen alot of this happen. I guess I set you for being prepared, but not what I like to do for you though.

RE: hip pain
Hurt at work call and write your congressman and senator and ask for help.....make sure you put on their letter that you are sending copies to your lawyer and WC ......we cannot fix the wc problem if our elected people are not aware of it.......it also serves to put a burr under WC's saddle that you are not gonna sit back and take their crap....After my congress man got involved(altho he really didnt do any thing except call em to find out the hold up) things moved at a mush faster clip altho still slow in my mind

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: hip pain
hello Hurt,
i didn't have a fusion but i had discectomy and i thought everything would be "peachy" after my nerve was freed with the surgery. i was shocked into reality when i woke up from surgery and was able to move around, my hip was hurting already and i too am dealing with what feels like nerve dammage. i truly feel for you with wc not paying for anything, that is not helping you feel any better at all. it helps me to not think about wc or the job, concentrate on yourself and your healing, because that is the most important thing right now.

l5-s1 discectomy with pain in the butt immediately after surgery, 03/26/08 constant pain in leg,and hip, global spinal fusion 10/06/08, now leg and hip pain, butt bone, low back, upper back, pain (state of georgia)
