Question being ignored
Hello everyone, well I can type better now that cast from surgery is off. My qestion today is has anyone else been ignored by thier place of employment? I was injured back in october and the company never filed so me and my lawyer did. Then they made me leave work but never layed me off to this day. Ive had mediation --nothing acomplished thier lawyer played dumb and confused me with another of the many suits against them. now Ive had one of several surgerys lined up and thier lawyer wont even respond to mines letters or calls.
Can they do that ? I'm in maine and still recieving no medical or financial assistance from them.

RE: being ignored
you can keep them coming back to court until the judge gets tired of delays.

RE: being ignored
I would think the company would get sick of prolonging this unless they take enjoyment from a single mom of 3 pennyless and already lost thier home. Sorry venting --lol-- I just dont understand how people like all of us here are treated so badly for someting none of us wanted.

RE: being ignored
In most states workers comp has been taken over by the legal system which is basicaly adversarial. (each side maximizes their side of the equation and then the attys settle at the midpoint; then take their cut and calling it justice.)

RE: being ignored
Absoloutly, like any system started with good intentions people out there whether it be lawyers, companys, or anyone else they will find away to make it complicated and unfourtunatly not protect the people it was designed to.
