Autism/ADHD/Alzheimer's (dementia)
Hi all. I hear there are a few people on here with kids on the autism spectrum. I thought it would be nice for me to have some chats with you all about autism/adhd.

Happy Mother's Day to all!

Wife

My son has autism, PDD NOS. He is verbal with language delays. My son is 9 and is included into the regular education classroom for a part of the day.

My son also has ADHD, asthma, and seizures.

I am a parent trainer with the Kansas PTI Center, I assist families with finding resources, and assist them with the educational rights under IDEA.

I am also active with our local Unted Way chapter.

Having a step-daughter with autism / aspergers syndrome these threads interest me. I can only state my opinions about what apears to be a possible cause of these disorders. This article was in the local newspaper this morning. Obviously others agree with me and my wife on possible causes of autism.

morning cd, very good article indeed, I am one of those parents that thinks something happened after my son got his mmr shots, you see he was talking, and was a normal kid until after his shots, then he went into this shell and is slowly coming back but hasn't talked since he was 2, it would be very satisfying to actually know the cause of this disorder, thanks for posting that article, halftrak

RE: Autism/ADHD/Alzheimer's (dementia)
My son is adopted and his autism comes from genetics as his birth mother also has problems.

Today society's focus is autism, a few years ago it was bipolar.
