website that interprets mri reading
Hello everyone

I recently had the mri done and i don't fully understand the results, here are some of the things it says "left laminectomy defect l5 with adjacent scar tissue posteriorly. abnormal scar tissue density at the disk just to the left midline which extends to the disc space. granulation tisue adjacent to and inferior to the disk space causing some narrowing of teh lateral recess and inferior aspect of the left neural foramen. I dont expect a translation but if anyone knows what this means this would help. otherwise a website that would translate would be helpful. I haven't been on the site much lately bc i have been very upset, my dr made a mistake and tried to send me back to work, which means he wasnt paying attention to my condition, it was straightened out, but he can't take back the effect it had on me mentally and physically.

l5-s1 discectomy with pain in the butt immediately after surgery, 03/26/08 constant pain in leg,and hip, global spinal fusion 10/06/08, now leg and hip pain, butt bone, low back, upper back, pain (state of georgia)

laminectomy defect causing spinal cord compression

Internal fixation of traumatic spinal injuries has been associated with spinal canal stenosis, spinal cord compression, and nerve root impingement. We present a case of spinal cord/cauda equina compression due to migration of intact, anchored thoracolumbar Luque rods into the spinal canal through a laminectomy defect, leading to neurologic complications 10 years after the original operation.

Compression of spinal cord;

Mr. badbadboy i am readig what you said and it sounds like u are saying i have a compressed spinal cord and you have had something similar, and that problems resurfaced 10 years after your surgery. is that correct?

What I gave here is a example of what the MRI can, could, might , mean. But when ever a Disc is getting to reduce it's size, there will be a little spinal cord compression, the example doesn't have to be 10 years in time, but can be any lenght of time.

Also laminectomy defect , doesn't always mean a bad thing is going on. it could also mean that the tissue has grown enough to protect the Nerve Roots. And is being explained in an MRI.
