Terminated!
State: WI. I have been on WC since 11/07 receiving TTD for a knee injury. Recently, I was switched to PPD, and the ins. co. is denying my next surgury for the injury saying the underlying cause is arthritis (I'm 37). I received a letter today stating that I am now terminated. Is this legal?

RE: Terminated!
yes. filing a work comp claim does not give a worker immunity from termination. If your employment is covered by FMLA you can have up to 12 weeks of job protection.

RE: Terminated!
what was there reason for firing you???get it in writting if you can then go see a employment lawyer it might be because you filed a wc claim.look in to it i go to mediation to day on suit towards exemployer for retaliation and wrongfull termination for filing a wc claim.

Each day is not a rite,it's a given.
