RE: moving on to next step
I was on this drug, it did calm done a little burning in my upper arm, but never made it stop, so I asked to be removed from it.

Surgery is in the eye of the person having it done. If I think my chances are good, I then go for it. but I can't speak for the next person. Just within 1 year now, I elected to have a total knee replaced, and now need the other knee scoped. If I can remove severe pain with surgery, and the odds are in my favor, then off I go...

RE: moving on to next step
Hello 47...I was on the drug, it is used for neuropathy of your legs or arms etc. Typicall it was first used as an antiseizure medication then about 15 years ago, it was started to show great effects for diabetics who experience neuropathy related to decreased blood flow to the outer extremities...legs and arms. More recently it has been used with a lot of success to decrease the pain associated with neuro issues that create a lot of pain. I was on it because of decreased neuro responses created a lot of pain in my feet as I walk. The one thing I learned about this drug is to assure that your dose level is slowly increased. Also, it will make most people sleepy and feel a little druged especially if the dose is too high. Another issue was the inability to make rational decisions and memory loss...so needless to say, I did not stay on it long, preferred to deal with the pain in my feet as I walk versus take this drug. However, it does wonders for some people so don't give up based on what I am saying... also FYI they put me on a very high dose, and if I had felt better at the time and was paying attention to what was happening...I would have known this..good luck to you...Red
