RE: compasation
sorry to say but i dont think so im not real sure but i dont think so .sorry.i hope so but most places see a second job as moon lighting and alot of places dont like that very well.good luck and ur insurance may no pay of anything as far treatment because it was a job related injury. dont lie because if they find out ur insurance can come back on you for repayment.

Each day is not a rite,it's a given.

EC:
Depends on the state laws. Each state is different.
Has nothing to do with "moon lighting" or whether employer likes it.
Each state has a website with information about how disability payments are calculated. There is a max rate and a waiting period.

RE: compasation
Please post your state. Better yet, update your profile to include the state, that way someone may have an answer for you

RE: compasation
I was in this situation myself, except that I got injured on my F/T job. Now this is probably a state thing, but for me...I was told by the isurance company that if my 2nd job had been the same type of job, they would have been responsible for 2/3 of its pay. (I am sure they would have actually fought it though, if it were to actually happen). They told me that since my 2nd job was a different type of job, that I should just go back to it and that I would not be getting pay for the time I had been off of the P/T job.

So, for the past 3 years I have been back working at my P/T job. At one time, they tried to say that they never knew I was back at my P/T job and said they wanted to change my pay to a lower one. It was only becasue I keep everything, I found a fax coversheet and letter that I faxed them, stating that after speaking with my case worker (and I named her), I was going back to my P/T job and that the job had been able to accept my restrictions and had created a spot for me. Once my lawyer showed them the fax and the coversheet that showed it had been received by my I/C's fax machine, they backed off and am now allowing me to continue to work at this job with no consequences. But, no, I did not get paid for the time I took off.

Good luck!
