Why is there going to be a hearing to reduce my earnings?
I am only making $236.26 a week on Comp. I am a permanent partial. I just got a part time job making $100 a week give or take and I got a letter in the mail requesting a hearing to reduce my earnings?

I was told by several people, including my doctor....
That once I was put on permanent partial, whatever job I go to... if I don't make as much money as I did at my former job then Comp had to pay 2/3 of that loss.

Can someone help me understand this?

RE: Why is there going to be a hearing to reduce my earnings?
Kitty, I will give my oppinion. I maybe completely wrong, but from what you have said and the numbers I get. Well here we go.
You were making $358.00, average weekly
$358.00 x 66% = 236.28
You are now making $100.00. $358.00 - $100.00 = $258.00 x 66% = $170.28.
Which means $236.26 - $170.00 = $66.26. That is the amount your check will be less. The amount of your check will be $170.00.
I think I got it right, except the percentage maybe 66 2/3%.

The above is just my oppinion. As I am not from your state.

RE: Why is there going to be a hearing to reduce my earnings?
Ok, I just got my IME report for my MMI. So does that mean that at my hearing on April 10th to determine if my benefits should be suspended or reduced will result in a hearing of finality? I mean to determine the amount of money I will get?
