RE: Question for people with a tens unit???
If your doctor writes a prescription for it, then you should be able to get one through your PT/OT or insurance co. I got mine at the therapist. They do supply my pads/leads whenever i place a call . I got the bill by mistake and my Tens unit cost 800.00. It is nice as i can hook it onto my pants and walk around the house while getting a treatment. I did see on a search that you can purchase them much cheaper, some for like 50.00 or less. Not sure how they work, but would think they all work the same way. I have rechargeable batteries in mine, which makes it easy and cheaper to use.

carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD.
1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10%

I finally got mine and now I can't live without it. I had to fight the insurance carrier to pay for it but it finally worked out.

RE: Question for people with a tens unit???
I haven't used my tens unit for a while as it caused blistering of the skin previous even on a low setting.

Monday night I had a very bad migraine and nothing would help, so I got the tens unit out and used it on my neck on a low setting and I could feel the migraine go away.

I was wonderful!

RE: Question for people with a tens unit???
Hi all....i was always going to ask if a tens unit would help with muscle pain & spasm....and apparently it does! I'm calling my doctor to see if he'll write me a script for one!
Thanks for the info everyone! LillySmile
