1st timer
I'm a chemical hauler for a major trucking company. On March 4th I unloaded a tanker full of acetic anhydryde. I got a big whiff of this stuff and it took my breath away literally. A couple of days later I started getting chest pains. 2 weeks later I went to the emergency room and they found some lung damage. That's when I informed my employer that I believe it is related to that incident. Did I screw up by waiting too long? I'm going in for a cat scan and am under a doctor's care. I'm at a loss as to my next step. I would appreciate any help on this matter as I'm new to this. Thanks

Workers' compensation laws are different from state to state. I do believe you are safe with the issue of two weeks before you notified the employer. If your state was known we could probably give you some more specific information.

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom.
