RE: few questions-so confused
Your work can expect you there.
Do you have to go? No.
But if I were you I would. You employer does not have to hold your job for you. I think I would be contacting my dr. and requesting a list of restrictions. I would then go to work and present them. It is not uncommon for an employer to modify job duties to accomidate the injured worker. My employer wanted me back at work just to stop the ic from paying me. I did practicaly nothing at work for six months. Then he took me off work and the ic started paying me again.

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom.

RE: few questions-so confused
maybe.
to be off work and on disability requires a doctor's authorization. If you don't have it, you need to have your doctor contact the employer with the off-work order.
If you have some restrictions and the employer has work that meets them then they don't have to pay disability.

"If the job that is offered is a lower paying job, the worker will continue to receive
workers’ compensation benefits based upon the difference in wages. (Benefits
are discussed more fully in Chapter 9.)"
