Miami Florida Biscayne or South Beach
My wife and I are having to go to Miami , Florida in a few weeks and have never been there. We are looking for a descent place to stay that will not break us. The area we need to be at is in the Biscayne or South Beach area. Anyone having suggestions would deeply be appreciated. At this time we are very lost.

If you hold on for a few...I have a friend who's husband is a deputy sheriff in that area...I'll email and see what she or he can suggest...OK?

RE: Miami Florida Biscayne or South Beach
Ok here's the scoop...he says South beach is real expensive ...best bet is to go on line with either hotel.com or price line.com because right now is spring break and still winter in some parts of the country so little high in pricing....but bob suggested trying to find a place in North Key Largo close to Miami wish I could have done more for you.....

RE: Miami Florida Biscayne or South Beach
You may want to google Kendall or Homestead (my choice) Florida and check out the chamber of commerace sites , they have many listings that are reasonable under lodging.
It all depends on what you are doing in the area, there are several small towns between the Florida Keys and Miami. Homestead is aprox 27 miles from South Miami If you are just on a vacation, may I suggest driving to the Keys, It is great and many mom and pop motels I have been there several times and would go back in a heart beat. I can give you several suggestions on where to stay in the Keys. Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain. |

I used to live in Homestead, but it was a long time ago.South Miami is going to take you a while to get there if you are in Homestead or close by.The rates I am sure will be much less though.

RE: Miami Florida Biscayne or South Beach
Thank all of you for your help. I wish it was a vacation but unfortunately it isn't. My wife is required to be in federal court in Miami to make a victim impact statement in a ricco lawsuit that we are involved in. This could not happen at a worse time for us due to our limited income but if the feds say be there you do not have a choice in the matter. Hopefully we will be reimbursed or they will pay our way round trip and we will just be out the time spent going there and back.
Once again Thank You All !!
