Work related injury?
Does anyone know if I can apply for workers comp? Afterwork, I was showering and my back gave a intense sharp pain that took my breathe away. I did everything possible to relax the pain, nothing worked. The next night before work, I called my boss to tell him I couldnt work. I went to a chiropractor the next day. He told me that I hyper-extended my muscle at work and my spine twisted out of place when I got home. He couldnt budge it. So we needed to waite till the next day after a message therapist. After missing two days of work, my boss sent a letter to the company saying was a home based accident. They wont let me go back to work now until a doctor gives me a release to work 100%. Since the doctor is out till Monday I will be missing out of a weeks pay.

RE: Work related injury?
Yes, you can file a claim. I WOULD.

I will now tell you why. This is part of my story, I see no need in telling the whole story.
I was injured at work on a Friday. I went to see my doctor on Tuesday. The pain was getting worse. I was given steriods to remove the inflamation. The next Monday I was in the er and had surgery. I could not walk on my left leg.

An injury to the back can be minor or major. Some lumbar sprains/strains end peoples careers. If there is medical input that says it is work related, that will out way any boss's word. Just my oppinion and the life that I have walked.

Take Care

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom.

RE: Work related injury?
the longer you wait may hurt your chances of getting work comp to cover your injury.so get the ball rolling now the sooner the better.

Each day is not a rite,it's a given.

RE: Work related injury?
Thanks for your reply. It gave me the incentive I needed to fight this. So I decided to call the companys head of safety and explainded my situation. He's upset Bcuz he doesn't know a thing about it and has no paper work on it, so he wants to investigate it. SURE GLAD I CALLED HIM. THANKS AGAIN. P.S. Since I was home for three days it might be a lost time accident and the company really hates that. HA HA HAUGH
