Pa Get together painting questions
Hi all… I have been looking at our trip to the castle and what I need to bring to get you all started painting. First I need to know exactly who wants to paint at the castle and how long you want to spend painting. The length of time will make a difference in terms of what we get done. A typical class runs about 3 hours for one project; however for those of you who have never painted it could take longer depending on your progress with painting. I have developed a plan of action in terms of painting education in one stroke and in toll painting. However, this can change with what your needs are and how many are painting. Everyone who was at Tulsa knows that I can paint and talk all day no problem. I don’t even have to talk just paint. So here are the questions that need answered.

1. Who is going to paint and on what day?
2. How much time do you want to spend painting?
3. What do you want to achieve while you are there.
For instance, which style of painting are you most interested in?
A. One Stroke Glass painting
B. One Stroke Regular painting
c. Toll or pen n ink painting.
d. Oil Painting which will be done outside.

What type of surface would you like to do a one stokes or toll painting project on?

a. Clay pots
B. canvas paper or boards
C. wood
D. glass
C. cloth…we will do the t-shirts... however.

4. In terms of supplies, I am bringing the paint, brushes, water wells, table coverings, paper towels, pallet boards, cleaning equipment and foam paper plates that you will need to practice and complete a project. For the oil, I am bringing 3 easils, oil paint, and a few 16X20 canvas'. Brushes and cleaning supplies etc.
5. You will need to bring the surface that you want to paint on, or if you want I can buy and bring to the castle… I would bring you a receipt...and I am very good at getting the best for my money when it comes to crafts...have not learned how to do that with shipping …smiling however. Please let me know what you want to accomplish and what you want to complete a project on in the next few days. Old vases, canning jars, or any old glass paints up really nice, but do not bring any crystal or nice glass etc.
6. I have a schedule worked out, but I am going to wait for your response to the above questions and then post it also… love Red

Red, I do not know what Gail and CRABBY want to do, I would like to do the Tees, I am bringing my camera and was planning on doing some photography,( my hobby) and plan on spending a little time outside shooting pictures, just relaxing and visiting. I love nature and if the weather is good maybe some walking. Gail did mention she might like to explore the area. But I will ask her and let you know Crabby will probably read your post and let you know........

Red...we still have PA as a definite possibility. Will have to wait though until we see what's up with hubby. I won't be painting but thank you. I'll be the lady laying on her butt with a shirley temple in hand.

Love you,

RE: Pa Get together painting questions
I will do any of the painting you like. As long as you want. We can play it by ear. I have an easil so I will bring it. Could you get me some canvas paper where you are at. You know the kind in a book? Here in Hooterville they don't have too many craft stores. I will send you money if you tell me the price. Tuffy you will have so much fun taking pics here. The Elk will pose for you I am sure.

GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT!

RE: Pa Get together painting questions
Good Morning all.....

Cap...ditto what jayne said....
Backache.... you are great Thank you...I am bringing 2 tablets of canvas paper... if you want your own canvas paper...I will pick you up one. I always buy the best canvas paper. It is from stratmore.. and it cost a little more than the other, but it absorbs the paint so much better. 1 tablet regular cost is about $5-6.00 but I never buy them until they are on the typical 30-40% off..which means it would be cheaper.. I will wait until they are on sell and then get you a tablet...

Still...I would love it if you or your wife would like to paint. I didn't really think you would be painting due to your pain etc. My prayers are continuing that you have a true vacation that is not only away from your home but from your continual pain. You wife doesn't need to bring any thing to paint..only if she has an old glass piece that she would like to paint..that would be fun.

jayne...do you have any old glass pieces that you would like to paint...? I don't have any here... becasue they all get painted on lol.... just let me know.

I will put out a potential schedule later today. This is going to be a fun trip....love Red (not because of the painting..becasue I get to see all my dear friends....

RE: Pa Get together painting questions
I collect gallon jars from cafes (they get pickles and hot peppers and such in them) and such for my milk and flour and stuff so Red and all ask around and see if anyone has any extra gallon glass jars....
