RE: settlement?
calmness.
guessing another person's motivation is almost impossible. people do things for so many different reasons. sometimes they are not even rational.
it costs money to bring a law suit. they might believe they can easily beat it at mediation with little or no expenses.
"spaming" the board with multiple posts is not going to get you better answer.

RE: settlement?
I know people that have been waiting years for their settlement date. You must be patient. when you rush it you take a chance of making big mistakes. the deeper the company's pockets then longer they usually take to settle. Remember the longer they hold your money, the more they make on the interest. I just settled a case after 3 years. I was offered a take it or leave it amount. To take the money means the company is no longer responsible for anything regarding my injurys or me ever again. My other option was to let a workers comp judge decide my fate. I took the money. What ever your situation make sure you think about your future medical needs before you take the money. Always, provided you have a good one, follow the advice of your atty. Gaston1
